The Heritage Texas Properties Hoopla Team
The 28th annual ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run a huge success! For 11 consecutive years, Heritage Texas Properties has been a proud sponsor and gathered a prize-winning Hoopla Team to cheer on the runners and walkers who participate. Hoopla Teams are groups of people who gather at a designated spot on the course to serve as “official cheerleading squads,” cheering and entertaining the runners and walkers. This year was no exception.
One of the highlights for this year’s Heritage Hoopla Team was the opportunity to whoop it up for the four from Heritage who ran in the race – the company’s fearless leader, Robin Mueck, along with Lindsey Cox (from our Memorial office) and Jo Ann Holba and Betty Melton (from our Country Properties division).

The Rodeo Run is well known for its fun and festive atmosphere and its Texas-size post-race party. But, most importantly, in addition to its being a great way to kick-off our very popular Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and its opening Parade, the race is designed to raise scholarship funds for Texas young people. This year alone, it raised $400,000.
This year, runner and walker registration totals reached 12,500 participants. With everyone’s help and support, ConocoPhillips has donated approximately $4.5 million in scholarships since the event began to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ Educational Fund benefiting Texas youth. This wonderful combination of Texas-size hoopla and generosity makes the annual ConocoPhillips Rodeo Run one of the most popular and memorable races in the region. We can’t wait for the next one!
