As we head into mid-October, fall is in full swing and Houston is taking advantage of the break from summer heat to ramp up its outdoor activities. Texas Renaissance Festival Weekends from Sept 30th to Nov 26th

Knights, fairies, pirates, and more take over Texas in this famous, costumed, weekend festival that lasts until the end of November.  Themed food, turkey legs, and mead will satisfy your appetite as you peruse the many shops that offer artisan armor, weapons, costumes, and more! Plenty of attractions and shows are scheduled throughout the day so plan to get there early and stay for the fireworks show. We recommend grabbing a funnel cake to watch the jousting and getting your fortune told! J

An armada of more than 30 food trucks is heading to Tomball for this food truck gathering! Enjoy Houston favorites such Waffle Bus, Nom Mi Street, Foreign Policy and many more as you munch and listen to live music throughout the day. There is also a wine and beer Garten so grownups can grab a drink while children can spend their time in the Kids Zone.

Houston Spain Fest is a celebration of the culture and traditions of beautiful España. It’s a wonderful afternoon filled with Flamenco music, dance, and equestrian entertainment. Spanish food vendors and shopping is also available and a kids’ corner is open from 1:30 to 3 pm. Olé!

There is a large group of people in the United States that have professed an undying love for the show Friends. Are you one of us? Come hang out and enjoy Friends-themed activities based on the show at Market Street in The Woodlands. You’ll get to test your trivia mettle at Levure Bakery, but, keep in mind attendance is capped at 100 people.

Hailed as the “culinary event of the year,” the 11th Annual Zest in the West at Chateau Crystale is an event showcasing more than 150 world-class wines, craft beers, and culinary delights from some of West Houston’s finest restaurants. Along with the exquisite the food and drink, there is a fun silent auction whose proceeds benefit the West Houston Leadership Institute.
