With October flying by, we find ourselves almost at the door to this month’s big finale… Halloween!! An exciting time for youngsters, there are plenty of trick-or-treating events around Houston so the entire family can join the fun. See for yourself! Click on the events for more information.
Moody Gardens Ghostly Gardens
Oct 28th 2PM to 4 PM
Spooky fun with free trick-or-treating throughout the Moody Gardens complex! There is a costume contest for children ages 0-12 so bring your costumed little ones; registration is at 2 PM. Families with a costumed member also get a special discount and pay only $5 per attraction.
Tricks & Treats Among the Trees
Oct 27th from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM
A family-friendly hoedown where you can participate in Halloween games, play with critters, partake in arts & crafts, and go for hayrides! There’s a costume contest, so make sure you come dressed up, and a couple of trails for you to trick-or-treat along. Keep in mind, if you want to join the carnival games and face painting, you will need to purchase a ticket.
Scream on the Green
Oct 26th 6:00 M to 10:00 PM
A citywide celebration takes place at Discovery Green for this Halloween evening featuring a costume contest, prizes, a movie, performances and more! We’re looking forward in particular to the Screen on the Green showing E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Registration for the costume contest opens at 6:45 PM.
Oct 19 & 28 Weekends
Ghouls, goblins, and gremlins run amok at the Houston Zoo this October! Little boys and girls are invited to come dressed in their costumes and enjoy the fun with the entire family. There is a Whataburger Pumpkin Patch, a Monster Mural, and lots of goodies for the trick-or-treaters. Extra Fu: There’s also a Halloween Zoovie Night showing the classic, Hocus Pocus, on October 27th.
