Betty, a native Texan, grew up in the little farming, German settlement southwest of San Antonio - Castroville, Texas. When she and her husband, Randy, a native Houstonian, married in early 1970’s she moved to Houston and there graduated from University of Houston and soon after acquired her real estate license in 1977 and her Broker’s license in 1981. From the beginning she had the ‘touch of sold’!
While in Houston Betty was consistently a Top Producer. In the 1990’s she managed and developed the marketing department for the largest independent real estate company in Houston.
But she never forgot her small town roots. She and her husband bought a weekend place on acreage in the Round Top area in the early 1990’s and she thought she had ‘the best of both worlds’ – during the week Houston with its city amenities and weekends Round Top with its charm and folksiness. Then after 9/11 Betty and her husband decided to move full time to their circa 1880’s farmhouse in Round Top and the rest is history!
Betty has embraced country living and selling what she loves – country property!
She firmly believes that knowledge is power and goes out of her way to educate her buyers and sellers. Her ethics and knowledge are unapproachable and her marketing plans are assertive and cutting edge. She is always honest, upfront and hardworking, making sure that all parties are satisfied by the end result.
Joining forces with longtime friend Peg Richardson, Betty and Peg became ‘Your Home Team’ (www.ILovetheCountry.com) and together have become a country force listing and selling real estate in a 6- county area (Austin, Colorado, Fayette, Lee and Washington Counties). They have never lost sight of the real joys of real estate which is helping others. Together they have found a true niche educating their clientele in the uniqueness of Farm and Ranch and Historical Properties. No two properties are alike which makes selling in the country both fun and challenging at the same time.
In her spare time Betty enjoys working out, running, gardening, reading, teaching yoga, working on her antique house and recently learned how to play Maj Jong.
She and her husband, Randy, and their two kitties, Bandit and Buddy truly believe that ‘Life Is Good In The Country”!
