As the old saying goes, “I wasn’t born in Texas but I got here as quick as I could.” In Jim Williams’ case, that would be 1988 when he moved here from Illinois. Even then, he was already thinking about a career as a Realtor.

“I wanted to sell real estate ever since my parents bought their home back in Illinois. I thought it was cool that their agent got to make a living looking at all kinds of homes. When I left the Navy after 7 years in 1987, I was still thinking about living my dream of selling homes, but I wasn’t entirely sure how it worked or how to go about it. Finally, in 2006, I decided if it was ever going to happen then I better figure it out! By the following March, I had my license and have never looked back.”

Now. Jim jokes that he’s “married” to real estate and that he’s always open for business. That means he answers every phone call, opens and responds to all emails or texts, and stands ready to give 110% in attentive and personal customer service.

In fact, he’s so dedicated to the mission of being available to his clients that, every year when he participates in the annual Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Lock-Up Fundraising Event, where police “arrest” him and require “bail money” for his release, Jim has already collected donations in advance so that he can get back to work right away.

Jim subscribes to a “suit up and show up” philosophy and believes you must always remember to tell people what you do and what you can do for them. He is extremely detail-oriented and enthusiastic about every real estate transaction he undertakes – whether it is with a first-time or “seasoned” buyer. Listening is the most critical part of his business and he makes sure that open communication is the norm rather than the exception. No matter how large or small, each real estate transaction and client is his top priority.

A man of integrity, Jim focuses on building relationships with his clients and believes in doing more. He listens carefully and knows how to ask the right questions to gain insight into his clients’ needs and helping them find the best property match.  Honest, conscientious and levelheaded, he stays accessible and maintains consistent follow-up, throughout the buying and selling process. An eager negotiator who can speak comfortably with anyone, Jim always strives to get his seller or buyer the best possible deal.
