Loving the country life sets the tone for all that JoAnn does. “Ours is a unique area with a concentration of cultural events and the expected agricultural pursuits”, JoAnn says, “making this one of the best places in the state to call home”.Having received her license in 1978, JoAnn began a career which has seen many changes.

Originally living in Houston and working with commercial real estate brokers, she and her two sons moved to Hays County, where she eased her way into living and selling the country lifestyle.

In 1994, she moved to Round Top, married UT Shakespeare professor Jim Ayres, bought a farmhouse and began her new life. “Our large blended family has blessed us with 13 grandchildren and all the joy life has to offer”, JoAnn says. Three additional family weddings are adding to the love.

Her acquired knowledge and appreciation of Fayette and surrounding counties has made her a “Top Producer”, assisting buyers in creating their own pieces of the country pie and selling several ranches to clients who then carved out smaller country properties – which she then sold to many others with dreams of a rural lifestyle. JoAnn’s ability to listen, along with her keen interest in the needs of both buyers and sellers, combine well with her determination, fair-mindedness and integrity.Professional affiliations include:Member of Houston Association of Realtors (HAR)
