Julie Pickett has been a licensed Realtor since 2009, initially serving as an assistant to top producing agent, Anita Pickett (her mother-in-law), listing primarily REO/foreclosures which were plentiful after the market crashed in late 2008. As the economy began its slow recovery, they changed their focus to handling relocation inventory.
But, in 2013, with the Houston residential real estate market in full flower, they added yet another team member, Josh Clark (who is her nephew), to handle the burgeoning market demand, engaging in “traditional” real estate and representing buyers and sellers of every type.
Their market-savvy, flexibility and ability to mold their service to meet current market demands has certainly paid off – it earned them a spot among Heritage Texas Properties’ 2013 Company-Wide Top Producers & Teams.
Of herself and the service she provides, Julie likes to say, “I’m in it for the ‘quality’ of each transaction - not the ‘quantity.’ It’s all in the details.”
And details are where Julie excels. Previously a
certified legal assistant and the manager of a corporate legal department, Julie is very detailed-oriented – a trait that she calls both a blessing and a curse. Her clients and teammates, however, greatly admire and appreciate this skill, as it allows them to focus on other things, knowing that they can trust and depend upon her. Engaging, approachable, knowledgeable, and an enthusiastic team player, she treats each client as though they are her only client.
Born in Midland, Texas, Julie’s family moved to Houston when she was still an infant. She grew up in Spring Branch, then earned a BS degree in Floriculture from Texas A&M, before moving further west when she married her husband, Ben. They have residents of Cinco Ranch for over a decade.
