Kelly Shearer has successfully transitioned her positive experience as a teacher into an expanding career in residential real estate sales. "The qualities needed to be an effective educator, such as being extremely organized, reliable, caring, enthusiastic, and able to work with a variety of personalities, mirror the qualities I need as a Realtor," Kelly says.
Residential real estate sales provide Kelly with an opportunity to work in a profession that she has long admired. The third generation of her family to be a part of the real estate industry, she has reaped the benefits of her family members' knowledge, expertise and encouragement. "It's an exciting career with so many different facets - it's never boring. I enjoy helping others and as a Realtor, I find that as I work with a diverse variety of clients, I am able to educate and, hopefully, empower them during their transaction process."
Diplomatic, professional, detail-oriented, and a problem solver, Kelly listens carefully to what her clients want to achieve and negotiates productively on their behalf. "It is of utmost importance to me that my clients are satisfied and confident that I am looking out for their best interests in every transaction. Even when there are challenges, my goal is to make buying or selling a home a positive, enjoyably memorable experience for all involved."
A resident of The Woodlands for more than 10 years, Kelly regards Houston's northwest area as her strong suit. Her present and past volunteer commitments include National Charity League, Bluebonnet Chapter (Past-President); The Woodlands High School Quarterback Club; Woodlands Lacrosse; PTO (Coulson Tough Elementary, McCullough Junior High); National Charity Roundtable; Post Oak Parent Association (Co-Chair); and The Junior League of Houston. "I've raised my family in The Woodlands and strive to be a role model in community service for them. Fulfilling various leadership roles within these groups has allowed me to gain skills that are beneficial to my professional life as well."
Kelly earned a BBA in economics at the University of Texas at Austin and earned her teaching certification from the University of Houston. She and her husband have been married since 1993 and have three wonderful children whom she regards as her proudest achievement. When not working, Kelly enjoys spending time with family and friends, travel and tennis.
