Real estate was always an interest of Lisa Prejean. Soon after graduation from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, she worked in apartment leasing for two years, an experience that helped her develop an ability to evaluate people. Then, when she and her husband purchased their first home, their broker offered her a job as his assistant, encouraging her to seek her license and become an agent.
Those experiences taught her the value of first impressions – both with people and properties. They also taught her the importance of listening. Determining the wants and needs of clients is such an integral first step in any transaction, so Lisa listens carefully, pays attention to the details, and works until those needs are met; approaching everything with a positive attitude and a smile. Whether dealing with buyers or sellers, Lisa subscribes to the idea that “it’s all about them.”
One of five children, Lisa knows a thing or two about diplomacy and patience. She says, “I am proud of being a member of a large family. You develop skills you might otherwise not have.” She certainly believes it helps her in making real estate transactions run smoothly. Good with people, easy to get along with, and level-headed, she tries to understand her clients, their likes and dislikes, and enjoys the opportunity to test her skills in finding them the perfect home.
Lisa is passionate about Royal Oaks Country Club where she and her husband live and are Equity Golf Members of the club. This inspires her and fuels her dedication to maintaining property values in her cherished neighborhood.
When she’s not showing and selling, you can find Lisa on the golf course there or engaged in other mostly-outdoor pursuits. Now empty nesters, she and her husband are proud parents of two sons, both attending LSU.
