Lyda Vallee brings a strong background in material, finance, management, and day-to-day real estate office operations to her career in residential real estate sales. Lyda's experience as a loan officer helps her to more knowledgeably guide clients through the financial aspects of the home purchase or sale transaction process; her management background gives her communication and strategic planning skills; and understanding how a real estate office really works allows her to streamline the process and be more efficient for her clients.
Detail-oriented, accurate, organized, fluent in Spanish, and above all honest, Lyda impresses clients with her professionalism and ethics. "1've always worked in service-oriented industries and I understand the importance of excellent customer service," she says. "My approach is that the customer is always right."
Lyda believes that there is no substitute for experience. "The best career advice I've ever received was, "Learn from the pros to become a pro." A book or a class does not provide you with the tricks of the trade, and my solid background of experience complements my training and knowledge as a Realtor."
When not working, Lyda runs a non-profit dog and cat rescue organization. "Rescuing these animals is my passion," she says. "I began by trapping and taming feral cats and it just grew."
A native of Ecuador, Lyda has been a Houston resident since 1982. She holds an AS in electronic technology and an AA in arts/special education. Lyda and her husband have two children, one of whom, her son, is autistic and was home-schooled by Lyda. He presently attends college on a full scholarship, and her daughter will enter college in the fall of 2016.
