Reminiscent of an old tongue-twister about a peck of peppers, Sharyn Short learned a phrase many years ago that she took to heart and it guides her in all that she does, most particularly as pertains to real estate – “Prior Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance.”
Sharyn works hard to ensure that neither she nor her clients are ever unprepared for the kinds of surprises that might come up in a real estate transaction.
With a BBA in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin, she previously enjoyed a successful career in the pharmaceutical and medical sales industry. She kept a very busy calendar, was well organized and very responsive to her clients’ needs.
As a native Houstonian, she is very familiar with many areas of Houston. She has purchased 5 homes in her lifetime- 2 as a relocated employee, 2 as investment properties and one in which she currently lives with her family. She has hired tradesman and knows firsthand the importance of staying on top of what is happening and looking after all details. The experience also opened her up to envision the opportunities and potential that exist in properties that others might not see.
Sharyn truly enjoys people and helping them achieve their dreams of home ownership. She is a good listener and is detail oriented. These attributes allow her to smoothly guide clients through the process of buying and selling.
Sharyn and her husband, Joe, are raising two daughters and they have been growing their family traditions and strong roots in their own neighborhood for the past 15 years. Very active in her community, she is a member of the Memorial Forest Civic Club, Inc. where she was a past President and member of its board; Memorial Forest Women’s Club past president; current board member of the Memorial Forest Club; current and past member of the PTA’s at Frostwood Elementary, Memorial Middle, and Memorial High School. She is also an active member of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church.
Sharyn enjoys playing tennis and watching her daughters play volleyball.
