A native Houstonian who grew up in the Stafford/Sugar Land area, Suzan Phenicie is a woman of many talents. She calls herself an out-of-the-box thinker – but those who know her well might add terms like gifted, versatile and resourceful.
Before choosing real estate as her profession, Suzan enjoyed a career in advertising, working as a fashion photo-stylist, designing photo sets, dressing the models and organizing photo shoots. As a result, she is very creative and great at staging and decorating – a talent her clients find is a great asset.
But that’s just the tip of a very deep iceberg, since Suzan has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Houston, and did post graduate studies at Texas A&M University before earning a Masters of Education from Houston Baptist University, and was also a teacher with six years of experience as a government and economics instructor. Teaching enhanced her ability to organize and work with many different personalities with patience and ease. She also developed flexibility, diplomacy and problem solving skills.
Still, her move to a career in residential real estate was inevitable since her father was in the real estate business for 45 years. She grew up around the business and saw it as an outlet for her love of creating, selling, and working closely with people. An "idea person" who is energetic and enthusiastic with a tenacious spirit, Suzan is a good listener who is well-organized, thoughtful, and a great negotiator; and her past experience as a government instructor has led her to volunteer with the Houston Association of Realtors as a member of their Government Affairs Committee.
Married for 25 years, Suzan says that her husband and her son have been her greatest influences and inspiration. Besides her membership with the Houston, Texas and National Associations of Realtors, she is also a member of Chi Omega Sorority and the Freedoms Foundation.
