Not yet 35, Tara Bowles McMeans is both an attorney and a highly successful Realtor: a Heritage Texas Top Producer in 2015 and 2016 and the number-one listing agent at Austin's Capitol Area Realty before she moved to Houston in 2009.
Comprehensive market research, innovative marketing ideas and steadfast negotiations are the keys to Tara's success with sellers. "I also enjoy working with homebuyers and pinpointing market opportunities that will place them in a positive market position now, while purchasing, but also in the future," she says. Helping her clients make educated, forward-thinking investment decisions, based on rigorous, dogged research, brings Tara satisfaction day-in and day-out. To quote Wayne Gretzky, Tara chooses to "skate to where the puck is going, not to where it is" when analyzing the potential future consequences of each real estate opportunity for her clients.
Tara dove headfirst into real estate sales at the age of 22. "Entering the industry at a young age forced me to learn this business and how to successfully advocate for my clients," she says. At law school, she picked up a legal education that changed the way she viewed business transactions. "I learned the importance of not only being well-prepared and on top of the market, but to also protect my clients from unnecessary liability and poor business decisions," she says. "My real estate sales expertise coupled with my legal experience gives me an edge that benefits my clients in many ways."
Reliability is Tara's watchword. "My word is always good. If I say I'm going to do something, it gets done. At the end of the day, you can sell more houses than anyone else, but if your word can't be trusted, it means nothing. I want my clients to know that, above anything else, I am honest and trustworthy. Additionally, my clients know that I am very confident and will not back down from any business situation that benefits their goals and aspirations."
Married in 2016, Tara and her husband, Mason, enjoy home renovation, design projects, exercise, and trying new restaurants. They have 2 very opposite dogs: a 20 pound poodle (Baxter) and a big brown lab (Levee) who they enjoy laughing at while watching them interact. Tara's passions in life are her family and her real estate career and she lives each day with a thankful and positive disposition for each opportunity that comes her way.
