Huntwick Forest

Located at FM 1960 and Champion Forest Drive, Huntwick Forest is positioned at the center of the bustling FM 1960 community, surrounded by renowned golf courses and fine shopping. Huntwick Forest’s street plan, with limited “through” streets and multiple cul-de-sacs, ensures minimal traffic disruption.
In the late 1960s, Houstonians Bob Cochran and Charles Streusand could see that Houston was growing in a northwest direction. They acquired and began developing a spectacularly beautiful tract of real estate adjoining Champions Golf Club that became Huntwick Forest.
Lighted brick signs mark Huntwick Forest’s landscaped entrances and gas street lamps cast a gentle glow on the homes. The neighborhood’s upscale, two-story, custom-designed French, Tudor, and English country-style homes, built on expansive lots, are reminiscent of the Memorial area. Within Huntwick Forest there is a growing trend toward major remodeling of these original homes incorporating modern amenities.
A number of residents are second-generation home owners who grew up in Huntwick Forest and have chosen to return, creating a healthy mix of empty nesters and young families with children. Neighborhood children attend either Cy-Fair or Klein ISD schools, depending on home address.
Home owners have access to a racquet club, swimming pool, playgrounds, picnic areas, basketball court and fields, and a dog park. Activities include neighborhood tennis leagues, a swim team, bridge club, and book club.
The Huntwick Forest Civic Association is resident-managed and includes an architectural control committee that oversees and approves exterior modifications to homes and yards.
