Shadowbriar

The subdivision of Shadowbriar, located in west Houston between Highway 6 and the Sam Houston Parkway, has just over 400 single-family properties. Traditional homes prove to be the most popular architectural style, but mixed in are a few contemporary and even Colonial homes.
Construction dates back to the 1980s, with 1982 the median year built. Square footage runs a median of 2,481, with spacious lots having a median square footage of 8,165, many with mature trees providing abundant shade. Typical of homes built in this time period, most in the neighborhood have an average of three bedroom with two bathrooms.
The Shadowbriar Community Association governs the subdivision, collecting annual assessment fees for administration, management, operation, and maintenance of common areas as well as of the swimming pool and tennis courts.
