Originally from New Orleans, LA, Henry Egan grew up in a family immersed in interior design and real estate. Henry’s mother, an interior designer, purchased and remodeled homes as investments, using her design skills to enhance the properties and increase their value. Henry gained important lessons in the art of preparing a home for sale, as well as what to look for (and what to avoid) when purchasing a home.

Henry attended Loyola University in New Orleans and NROTC at Tulane University. He started his career as an officer in the United States Navy with four shipboard assignments. He was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia, Patuxent River, Maryland, Newport, Rhode Island, Charleston, South Carolina, and Naples, Italy and retired with the rank of Commander.

Completing his career in the Navy, Henry and his family made Houston their new home as he started a new career in the corporate world. They enjoyed seven years in Houston before relocating several times as he advanced working in the service industry. Henry and his family lived in Houston, Memphis, Dayton, St Louis, and Atlanta while his corporate career included serving as Branch General Manager then V.P. of Banking Services for Loomis Armored, Director of Operations for Alliance Services, Regional Vice President for Swanson Services and finally returning to Houston as a Corporate General Manager.

Employing the personal knowledge he earned through his and his family’s many, many moves, Henry knows the difficulties and stresses that a relocating family can experience and believes he can be a valuable resource to ensure that his clients’ moves go smoothly. He is firmly committed to understanding the wants and needs of his clients and applying all of the tools and skills he has developed not only as a Realtor, but in the Navy and corporate world to achieve that perfect end result his clients expect.

“I really enjoy the close interaction and relationships that I am able to develop with my clients and believe my experience in contract negotiation, analytical study, and project management can be a great asset for them. Working with sellers, I do extensive research to arrive at the right pricing, oversee staging the home where necessary and establish an effective plan for marketing, which ultimately results in a sale that meets all their needs. For my buyers, pinpointing their needs, identifying the right home features, and finding the perfect neighborhood that best suits their lifestyle are paramount. I’ve been there and know what’s necessary.”

An active member of his neighborhood HOA, Henry and his wife have three children and six grandchildren. Henry is also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Serra Club, involved with his church and enjoys hiking, biking, golfing, boating, and walking the family dog.

Henry was and is a great realtor. He went above and beyond to sell our house at a fair price even though we had taken on water in HARVEY. I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in a realtor.

Being first time home buyers we were looking for an agent who is trustworthy, knowledgeable about local areas and patient. Henry embodies all these traits. He guided us at every step of the way, explained all the documentation and provided support with scheduling major inspections to do thorough due diligence before closing. He communicated updates from the seller quickly and responded to our queries promptly. We'd highly recommend Henry to our friends and look forward to working with him again in future.

Henry assisted us in finding a house that met our very demanding criteria to replace our flooded old house. We had not bought a house since 1971 so Henry guided us thru all the steps necessary from looking thru closing. Henry was a pleasure to work with throughout the whole process.

He did an excellent job assisting my wife and me in selling our house. Now we are using him to buy a new house.

We had been in our house since 2000, so after 17 years and being much older, the very thought of moving, and especially to Brooklyn NY was most daunting. Henry Egan, however, made the decision to sell most comfortable, logical, and was especially helpful in setting the selling price for the quick sale that we required. He was spot on! Preparing the house and showing it was, again, with Henry's wise guidance which definitely created a competitive demand. In the end, we had three qualifying offers of which two were cash, and the sale was concluded in about three weeks. Henry was around to hold our hand on the several times anxiety broke out on our part. He was always calm and reasoning and he could not have been more supportive throughout the entire operation. Thanks to the speed in which the sale was conducted we were safely set up in far off Brooklyn when the terrible floods in July made the subdivision a disaster area forcing all residents to flee including the new owners of 12683 Rip Van Winkle. Had we still been there it would surely have shortened our lives with worry and despair. Mr. Henry Egan was a Godsend.

Henry is a great Realtor. He started off well by sharing an in depth comparative market analysis that helped us set our asking price. He then helped us to stage our house and made good recommendations on updates. He developed great marketing products and held frequent open houses that helped generate interest. He always followed up persistently on all leads, keeping track of who hadn’t followed up with him. He communicated well with us and provided feedback from potential buyer viewings. His negotiating skills helped maximize the selling price of our home and provided valuable assistance as we walked through the contract process together. Thanks, Henry, you made selling our house easy for us and a great experience.

Henry did a great job of walking us through the house buying process and helping us find our home. He is very knowledgeable and hard working, and helped us do our due diligence before making an offer.

Constantly kept me informed of what was going on, and gave me good advice to eventually get the sale.
